West Main Closure
TrueCore has closed the West Main Street office with plans to open Pataskala facility in 2019
TrueCore’s West Main Street office was closed on Friday, November 30 at 6 p.m. in order to relocate to Pataskala in 2019. Construction on a new office at 997 North Oxford Drive, next to the Pataskala Kroger, will begin in the near future. All employees will retain their positions at one of the other TrueCore locations.
Why is this branch closing?
In 2015, Cardinal Federal Credit Union, located at 1041 West Main Street, merged into Fiberglas Federal Credit Union to form TrueCore Federal Credit Union. Since then, over 60% of the West Main Street users have relocated to other branches that are more convenient for them. During that time, TrueCore has experienced a 121% increase in online and mobile banking services, which has contributed to the decreased foot traffic at this location as well.
What alternatives are available to those who used this branch?
Members who used this office will still have multiple options for service at nearby branches:
► The Heath office is located only 1.5 miles away at 508 Hopewell Drive.
► The Downtown office is located 2.4 miles away at 18 N. Second Street, Newark.
► The Deo Drive office is located 3.3 miles away at 215 Deo Drive, Newark.
TrueCore also participates in Shared Branching, a national network that shares over 5,000 convenient credit union offices where members can access their money. It’s the second-largest branch network in the country.
What will happen to the branch? The property has been sold.
Will the ATM still be available?
Why was Pataskala chosen as the future home of a new TrueCore office?
According to extensive research, Pataskala provides a strong mix of existing TrueCore members as well as potential members with limited credit union options. In addition, the results from our most recent member survey indicated that Pataskala was a top choice for an additional TrueCore branch.
